A Connected System for Real Hospitality Operations
The Operating Context
Restaurants and hospitality venues need more than a digital menu or a billing counter to manage a modern dine-in experience.
A customer may be seated at a table, browsing menu items, applying a welcome voucher, placing an order, earning loyalty points and checking previous orders. At the same time, restaurant teams need visibility into live orders, menu availability, order status, customer activity, sales performance and backend settings.
This project was built around that hospitality reality.
The requirement was not to create a third-party food delivery marketplace. The need was to build a custom hospitality ordering platform that helps restaurants manage their own customers, table orders, loyalty flows and backend operations through one connected digital system.
The Need Behind the Build
The client needed a system that could connect the customer-facing ordering experience with the restaurant-side backend workflow.
The mobile application had to make the dine-in ordering journey easier for customers. The web application had to help restaurant teams manage orders, menus, settings, transaction data and business visibility from the backend.
The system needed to support:
Customer signup and account creation
Welcome coupon or voucher flow
Age confirmation and marketing consent
Table number visibility
Menu browsing by category
Order placement and order history
Loyalty points and wallet balance
Restaurant open or closed status
Live order management
Order status visibility
Menu and category management
Restaurant information and settings
Sales overview and earnings dashboard
Export centre for transaction and order-related data
The challenge was not simply to build a mobile app. It was to create a practical restaurant management platform where customer actions and restaurant operations could work together.
The Solution in Focus
SumCircle developed a custom web and mobile hospitality platform for dine-in ordering and restaurant backend management.
The mobile application supported the customer journey, including account creation, coupon application, table-based ordering, menu browsing, order history, wallet balance and loyalty points.
The web application supported the restaurant and admin workflow, including dashboard visibility, restaurant settings, live order handling, menu management, transaction exports and sales overview.
Together, the applications created a connected hospitality system where the customer experience and backend restaurant operations could move through one digital flow.
What the Solution Enabled
Customer Account Creation
Customers could create an account with basic details, coupon code support, terms acceptance, age confirmation and marketing consent.
Welcome Coupon and Voucher Flow
The system supported first-use coupon and voucher logic, helping the platform create an entry point for customer engagement.
Table-Based Ordering
The mobile experience supported table number visibility, helping orders stay connected to the customer’s dine-in context.
Menu Browsing
Customers could browse menu categories and items through the mobile application, supporting a digital ordering experience inside the venue.
Order Placement and Order History
Customers could place orders and view previous orders through the mobile interface.
Loyalty Points and Wallet
The application included a points-based loyalty flow where customers could earn points on orders and use points as discounts later.
Live Order Management
The web dashboard supported restaurant-side live order visibility, including order status stages such as new orders, preparation and pickup readiness.
Menu Management
Restaurant teams could manage menu items, categories and item availability from the backend.
Restaurant Settings
The web dashboard supported restaurant information, tags, price range, cuisine type and related settings.
Sales and Export Visibility
The admin side included sales overview, earnings visibility and an export centre for transaction and order-related data.
How the Workflow Came Together
The platform connected the customer’s mobile ordering journey with the restaurant’s backend management workflow.
A customer could create an account, apply a welcome voucher, view menu categories, place an order from the table and later review order history or loyalty balance. On the restaurant side, teams could receive live orders, update order status, manage menus and review sales or transaction data through the web dashboard.

Implementation Approach
SumCircle approached the project as a hospitality workflow system, not only as a mobile app or admin dashboard.
The implementation focused on how customer actions, restaurant operations and backend visibility needed to work together in a dine-in setting.
The work included:
Understanding the hospitality ordering flow
Mapping the customer mobile journey
Mapping restaurant-side backend workflows
Designing mobile screens for signup, menu browsing, orders, wallet and points
Building web dashboard flows for live orders, menu management and restaurant settings
Structuring coupon, voucher and loyalty logic
Connecting table-based orders with restaurant-side handling
Supporting sales visibility and export requirements
Creating a system that supports both customer engagement and operational control
The result was a connected digital platform for hospitality businesses that want to manage owned ordering and customer engagement.
Business Value Delivered
The platform helped create a more structured digital layer for dine-in hospitality operations.
Better Dine-In Customer Experience
Customers could move from signup to menu browsing, ordering and loyalty points through a digital mobile experience.
Stronger Restaurant-Side Control
Restaurant teams could manage menus, settings, live orders and order status through the web backend.
More Connected Order Flow
Table-based ordering and live order visibility helped connect the customer journey with restaurant operations.
Improved Customer Engagement
Coupons, welcome gifts, loyalty points and wallet balance supported repeat engagement and customer retention logic.
Clearer Backend Visibility
Dashboards, sales overview and export centre supported operational and transaction-level visibility.
Better Menu and Availability Management
Restaurants could manage menu items, categories and availability from a structured backend.
Stronger Digital Foundation for Hospitality Operations
The system created a foundation for hospitality venues to manage owned digital ordering, customer engagement and backend control without depending on an external delivery marketplace model.
What This Work Shows
Hospitality technology works best when it supports the real service flow.
For this project, the value came from connecting the customer’s mobile ordering experience with restaurant-side backend operations. The system brought together table-based ordering, live order management, loyalty, coupons, menu control and reporting into one practical digital environment.
This project shows how custom software development can help hospitality businesses digitalise owned ordering and customer engagement without turning the experience into a third-party marketplace.
